Leading up to the event, I was both excited and nervous, imagining all kinds of scenarios in my head. I spent hours fine-tuning the colours and layouts of my designs, making sure everything looked just right before sending them off to print. Then came the waiting game—would the prints turn out as expected? Would the paper quality be good? Would I have enough stock?

Navigating My Vendor Experience

My booth was located in the basement, surrounded by talented local artists. I felt grateful to be part of such a creative space, but I quickly realized that I wasn’t used to being watched. Sitting there while people examined my work felt overwhelming, and I knew I needed more practice interacting with customers.

So what did I do? I blended into the crowd. I walked around, observing people’s reactions from a distance. When someone showed interest in my cards and was about to pay, I would suddenly pop up and say, “Oh, by the way, I own this booth!” They were so surprised and would burst into laughter. That moment of connection made everything feel lighter and more fun.
